Los Molinos is a census-designated place in Tehama County, California, United States. The population was 2,098 at the 2020 census, up from 2,037 at the 2010 census.

History

Los Molinos traces its history back to a railroad station which opened at the site in 1905. A post office has been in operation at Los Molinos since 1905.

The 2020 United States census reported that Los Molinos had a population of 2,098. The population density was. The racial makeup of Los Molinos was 1,417 White, 11 African American, 63 Native American, 17 Asian, 2 Pacific Islander, 291 from other races, and 297 from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 617 persons.
The census reported that 99.2% of the population lived in households, 16 people lived in non-institutionalized group quarters, and no one was institutionalized.
There were 819 households, out of which 221 had children under the age of 18 living in them, 333 were married-couple households, 57 were cohabiting couple households, 239 had a female householder with no partner present, and 190 had a male householder with no partner present. 269 households were one person, and 152 were one person aged 65 or older. The average household size was 2.54. There were 485 families.
The age distribution was 487 people under the age of 18, 138 people aged 18 to 24, 436 people aged 25 to 44, 588 people aged 45 to 64, and 449 people who were 65years of age or older. The median age was 44.1years. For every 100 females, there were 109.0 males.
