She is the daughter of former rower and member of parliament as part of the Bulgarian Business Bloc, Radoslav Karatantchev. Her mother Zhivka Angelova is journalist.She has three sisters one of whom, Gabriel Karatantcheva, was active as a professional tennis player from 2014 to 2017. Her older sister, Sesil, and younger sister, Alexa, are also tennis players.
