Klaus Mlynek
Klaus Mlynek is a German historian and scientific archivist, a former director of the City of Hanover Archive, and one of the editors and authors of the , an encyclopedia of Hanover.
Life
Born in Poznań, Poland, Mlynek studied history, history of Christianity and history of law at the University of Jena and archival science at the completing the state examination in 1957. He received his scientific archivist diploma the following year, and his doctorate in 1961.After working at the and the archive of the German Academy of Sciences at Berlin, both in East Germany, Mlynek was director of the archives of Hanover in West Germany from 1977 until his retirement in 1997. His research focused on aspects of Hanover's urban history.
