Kim Do-bin


Kim Do-bin is a South Korean professional baseball player who is a right-handed pitcher for the Hanwha Eagles of the KBO League.

Career

Kim Do-bin graduated from Kangneung Yeongdong University and was not selected in the KBO rookie draft. He subsequently left baseball and worked in various non-sports-related jobs. later he studied electrical engineering and was employed in a contract position at LG Electronics for approximately seven months. Kim resumed his baseball career by joining the independent team Suwon Fine Eagles. He financed his own training and commuted daily from Incheon to Suwon. In July 2023, he submitted a training video to the Hanwha Eagles through an acquaintance and participated in the team's developmental player tryout in October. After passing the tryout, he was signed by Hanwha and officially registered on August 21, 2024.
He made his KBO League debut as a starting pitcher on the day of his registration. In the game, he pitched ⅓ of an inning, allowing one hit, three walks, one strikeout, and two earned runs, and was credited with the loss. He was later selected to participate in the team's finishing camp and was included in the first-team spring training camp.
