The station consists of side side platform serving a single bi-directional track. A new concrete waiting room was constructed in February 2021. The station is unattended.

History

Kamitode Station was opened on 21 July 1914 as Ryōbitennō Station. It was renamed to its present name on 1 September 1933. With the privatization of the Japanese National Railways on 1 April 1987, the station came under the control of JR West.
