Jazz Infernal


Jazz Infernal is a Canadian short drama film, directed by Will Niava and released in 2025. The film stars Ange Eric N'Guessan as Koffi, an Ivorian trumpeter who arrives in Montreal as a new immigrant, but must face the legacy he wanted to avoid when he is recognized as the son of a famous jazz musician.
The film premiered at the 2025 Toronto International Film Festival.
The film was named to TIFF's annual year-end Canada's Top Ten list for 2025.
In 2026, the film won the Short Film Jury Award: International Fiction at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival.
