Ithycyphus goudoti

Ithycyphus goudoti is a species of snake in the family Pseudoxyrhophiidae. The species is venomous to other animals, but harmless to humans due to the weak nature of the venom.

Description

The species is slender, with a flattened head, and generally with distinct color patterns in gray, yellow, or uniform red with some small darker spots. It is sexually dimorphic.

Distribution and habitat

The species is endemic to several regions of Madagascar. It can survive in a variety of habitats including rainforest, dry deciduous forest, and spiny thickets.
