Imposed breathing pattern alters respiratory work during exercise is a scholarly work, published in 1994 in ''European Journal of Applied Physiology and Occupational Physiology''. The main subjects of the publication include breathing, exercise physiology, anaesthesia, medicine, respiratory rate, cardiology, work of breathing, ventilation, tidal volume, respiratory minute volume, heart rate, sports science, heart rate variability, respiratory system, and internal medicine. The purpose of the present study was to measure the effect of fR, tidal volume and breathing pattern on the respiratory work per breath and respiratory work rate during exercise on a cycle ergometer.
