Trochilocharax is a monospecific genus of freshwater ray-finned fish belonging to the family Acestrorhamphidae. The only species in the genus is Trochilocharax ornatus, the hummingbird tetra, and this genus is the only genus in the monotypic subfamily Trochilocharacinae.
