Heidi Health was founded in 2019 by vascular surgical resident Dr. Thomas Kelly and co-founders Waleed Mussa and Yu Liu. The company was initially launched under the name Oscer, focusing on clinical training tools for healthcare professionals. In 2021, the company rebranded as Heidi Health, shifting to AI-powered clinical documentation.2022-2025
In March 2025, Heidi secured AUD $16.6 million in Series A funding, led by venture capital firm Headline and supported by investors including Local Globe, Anthology, HESTA, Possible Ventures, Archangel Ventures, and Blackbird Ventures. The funding was intended to expand the company's AI features, such as automated pre-chart summaries and integration with clinical guidelines.In October 2025, Heidi raised its Series B funding of USD $65 million from Point72 Private Investments alongside existing investors Blackbird, Headline, and Local Globe, valuing Heidi at $465 million. The funding was reported to support further development of the AI platform, including expanded documentation and care coordinated functions.
As of 2025, Heidi has raised a total of USD $96.6 million from international investors. Currently, the company reports that its software is used in more than two million patient interactions per week across over 100 countries globally.
