Giovanni Luigi Mingarelli
Giovanni Luigi or Giovanni Aloysius Mingarelli was an Italian scholar in the Greek language, who translated Greek and Coptic religious texts, including the Bible.
Biography
Mingarelli was born at Bologna on 27 February 1722. He held important offices in the congregation of the regular canons of San Salvatore and was appointed professor of Greek literature at the Sapienza University of Rome. He died at Rome on 6 March 1793.Works
