Gérard Blain


Gérard Blain was a French actor and film director. He is perhaps best known for his roles as Serge in Claude Chabrol's Le [Beau Serge] and Raoul Minot in Wim Wender's The American Friend.

Biography

Blain appeared in sixty films between 1944 and 2000. He also directed nine films between 1971 and 2000. In 1971, he won the Golden Leopard at the Locarno International Film Festival for his film The [Friends (film)|The Friends]. Blain married three times, including briefly to Bernadette Lafont.
