Foothill Farms is a census-designated place and unincorporated community in Sacramento County, California, United States. It is part of the Sacramento metropolitan area. The population was 35,834 at the 2020 census, up from 33,121 at the 2010 census. Foothill Farms is part of the greater North Highlands-Foothill Farms community, and comprises the zip codes 95841 and 95842.

2020

The 2020 United States census reported that Foothill Farms had a population of 35,834. The population density was. The racial makeup of Foothill Farms was 52.7% White, 11.5% African American, 1.1% Native American, 8.4% Asian, 0.9% Pacific Islander, 11.8% from other races, and 13.4% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 23.2% of the population.
The census reported that 99.8% of the population lived in households, 58 people lived in non-institutionalized group quarters, and 15 people were institutionalized.
There were 12,453 households, out of which 37.2% included children under the age of 18, 42.3% were married-couple households, 8.4% were cohabiting couple households, 30.2% had a female householder with no partner present, and 19.1% had a male householder with no partner present. 22.4% of households were one person, and 8.4% were one person aged 65 or older. The average household size was 2.87. There were 8,671 families.
The age distribution was 26.2% under the age of 18, 9.0% aged 18 to 24, 30.4% aged 25 to 44, 22.6% aged 45 to 64, and 11.9% who were 65years of age or older. The median age was 33.9years. For every 100 females, there were 94.6 males.

There were 11,726 households, 4,768 had children under the age of 18 living in them, 5,073 were opposite-sex married couples living together, 2,276 had a female householder with no husband present, 869 had a male householder with no wife present. There were 1,056 unmarried opposite-sex partnerships, and 88 same-sex married couples or partnerships. 2,575 households were one person and 667 had someone living alone who was 65 or older.
