Gazi, Crete
Gazi is a western suburb of Heraklion and a former municipality in the Heraklion regional unit of Crete in Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform, it has been part of the municipality Malevizi, of which it is a municipal unit. The municipal unit comprises several nearby villages with a total area of and a total population of 20,918, of whom 16,256 live within Gazi. It lies west of Heraklion, on the north coast of Crete.
