Fariman is a city in the Central District of Fariman County, Razavi Khorasan Province, Iran, serving as capital of both the county and the district.

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the city's population was 32,610 in 8,203 households. The following census in 2011 counted 36,550 people in 10,254 households. The 2016 census measured the population of the city as 39,515 people in 11,755 households."The Hematnejad family are descendants of Genghis Khan Moqol and they currently live in Fariman."
