Etelka A. Leadlay
Etelka Anne Leadlay is a British botanist.
Born in Lambeth on 16 September 1947, she attended St Mary's School, Calne, Wiltshire. Later she studied for a M.Sc. in Pure and Applied Plant Taxonomy at the University of Reading, and a Ph.D. "The biology and systematics of the genus Hutera Porta". She and was elected a Fellow of the Linnean Society in 1978.
She worked for over 20 years for Botanic Gardens Conservation International, based on Kew Green, as Head of Research and Membership Services, until she retired in 2007. In 2006, she co-edited "Taxonomy and Plant Conservation".
Etelka married John F Davey in 1978. They have a daughter.
