Dongtou, Wenzhou


Dongtou District is a district consisting of 168 islands in the East China Sea, and is under the jurisdiction of prefecture-level city of Wenzhou, in southern Zhejiang province, China. It has a total area of, of which is land, and, as of 2012, had a population of. It was known as Dongtou County until 2 September 2015, when, with the approval of the State Council, it was converted to a district.

It is served by 4 stations on Line S1 : Lingkun, Oujiangkou, Ouhua and Shuang'ou Avenue.

Dongtou possesses the second-largest fishery in Zhejiang, reaching an area of about, and is known as the "Hijiki capital of China" as well as the "Seaweed capital of Zhejiang".
