Diplomystes camposensis
Diplomystes camposensis is a species of freshwater ray-finned fish belonging to the family Diplomystidae, the velvet catfishes. This fish is endemic to Chile where it occurs in the Valdivia region in the uspper and middle reaches of the Valdivia River and Tolten River basins. It grows to a maximum total length of. D. campoensis is commercially caught as well as being a gamefish but the population is threatened by deforestation, agr-forestery, damming and the introduction of the invasive predatory fish, the Chinook salmon.
