Deadly Encounter


Deadly Encounter is a 1982 American television movie.

Premise

An ex-combat helicopter pilot helps a widowed ex-girlfriend find the black book her husband kept from mobsters.

Cast

During filming in Mexico, a helicopter used on the production crashed, killing three people and seriously injuring a fourth. Susan Anspach claimed production had been unsafe. Other titles for the film were American Eagle and Bird of Prey. The film took a long time to be screened.

Reception

Newsday called it "a total disaster... a waste of Hagman's talents".
