DeCA Distinguished Civilian Service Award
The Defense Commissary Agency Distinguished Civilian Service Award is the highest civilian award given to a Defense Commissary Agency employee by that agency. It is awarded to civilian employees that show exceptional service or contributions DeCA or the DoD.
Criteria
The award may be conferred due to:- performing assigned duties in a clearly exceptional manner.
- developing or improving procedures or methods that result in exceptional improvement for DeCA, the DoD or Federal Government.
- showing exceptional courage and voluntary risk of personal safety in the performance of assigned duties or the direct benefit of government personnel.
- other exceptional performance that the agency director sees as warranting this award.
