Comparative study of delivery by vacuum extractor and forceps is a scholarly work, published in 1967 in ''American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology''. Three hundred cases of vacuum extraction were compared with 300 forceps deliveries in order to evaluate their relative safety to mother and child.
