Gurghiu, Mureș
Gurghiu is a commune in Mureș County, Transylvania, Romania. It is composed of ten villages: Adrian, Cașva, Comori, Fundoaia, Glăjărie, Gurghiu, Larga, Orșova, Orșova-Pădure, and Păuloaia.
The route of the Via Transilvanica long-distance trail passes through the villages of Adrian, Gurghiu, and Cașva.
At the 2021 [Romanian census|2021 census], the commune had a population of 5,530; of those, 63.06% were Romanians, 22.68% Hungarians, and 6.85% Romani [people in Romania|Roma].
