Colman Domingo on screen and stage
Colman Domingo is an American actor, playwright, and director.
Domingo rose to prominence for his role on the sketch series The Big Gay Sketch Show from 2008 to 2010 and as Victor Strand in the AMC series Fear the Walking Dead. During this time he also took minor roles in films such as Miracle at St. Anna, Lincoln, 42, Selma, The Birth of a Nation, and If Beale Street Could Talk. He gained acclaim for his roles in Ma Rainey's Black Bottom, Zola, Rustin, The Color Purple, and Sing Sing. He also took television roles in The Knick, Lucifer, Horace and Pete, and The Twilight Zone.
Domingo was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actor for Rustin and Sing Sing and for the Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in a Motion Picture – Drama for Sing Sing. He won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series for his role as a former drug addict in the HBO series Euphoria.
