Chromaticity and Luminance as Coding Dimensions in Visual Search

Chromaticity and Luminance as Coding Dimensions in Visual Search is a scholarly work, published in 1992 in ''Human Factors''. The main subjects of the publication include mathematics, optics, computer science, chromaticity, visual search, artificial intelligence, visual pattern recognition, data display, executive functions, statistical significance, luminance, psychology, computer vision, visual perception, coding, and color psychology. Results showed that mean search time increased linearly with the number of distractors if the luminance difference between target and distractors was small but was roughly constant if the luminance difference was large.
