Cherry Hills Village, Colorado


The City of Cherry Hills Village is a home rule city located in Arapahoe County, Colorado, United States. Just south of Denver, the city population was 6,442 at the 2020 United States census. Incorporated in 1945, Cherry Hills Village is a part of the Denver-Aurora-Centennial, CO Metropolitan Statistical Area and the Front Range Urban Corridor.

History

The Town of Cherry Hills Village was incorporated on July 19, 1945. The community was named for a grove of cherry trees near the original town site. On April 16, 2019, the city council voted to rename the 111-year old Swastika Acres subdivision as "Old Cherry Hills".
Cherry Hills Country Club has hosted three U.S. Opens, two PGA Championships, one U.S. Women's Open, and three U.S. Amateurs.
