Chang'ombe


Chang'ombe is an administrative ward in the Temeke district of the Dar es Salaam Region of Tanzania. The ward is bordered to the north by the wards of Ilala MC's and Ilala District|Ilala]. Keko lies to the east. Miburani is to the south, and Temeke, [Temeke District|Temeke] lies to the west. The ward is home to the Chang'ombe Cemetery. According to the 2012 census, the ward has a total population of 63,650.

The ward serves as the Zaramo people's ancestral home, along with much of the district. As the city developed over time, the ward became a cosmopolitan ward with a population of 19,302 as of 2012.
