COROS Wearables Inc. is a Chinese company based in Orange County, California specializing in performance sports wearables. It was founded by China-based YF Tech.
The company specializes in designing, manufacturing, and retailing specialist performance-focused GPS sport watches for outdoor sports. It focuses mainly on several running categories: Track, Trail, Road, and Ultra running. COROS used to have an established range of smart bicycle helmets with safety design features for mountain, road, and urban cyclists.
History
In 2014, COROS was founded in China. Lewis Wu came on as CEO in 2018.The company launched its first GPS watch - The PACE Multisport GPS Watch in 2018. The watch was the first to include a dedicated 'Track Mode' designed to get accurate pace and distance data on a running track – where GPS tracking had originally failed.
Later that year, the company released two new watches, the APEX Premium Multisport Watch, in two sizes; 42mm, 46mm.
In 2020, COROS launched PACE 2 - the lightest GPS watch at that moment - and announced partnerships with Eliud Kipchoge, Emma Coburn, and Des Linden.
In November 2022, COROS launched the Apex 2 and Apex 2 Pro GPS watches. In August 2023, COROS launched PACE 3. In October 2024, COROS launched PACE Pro.
In May 2025, COROS introduced the COROS Launch Repair Program, allowing customers to replace parts for selected COROS wearables, such as the battery, dial, screen and buttons.
