Bengali Portuguese Creole

Bengali Portuguese Creole was an Indo-Portuguese creole spoken in various cities in Bengal: Calcutta, Balasore, Pipli, Chandernagore, Chittagong, Midnapore, Hugli and Dacca. The language was formed from contact between the Portuguese and Bengali languages. It is now extinct.
In Bengal, Portuguese was spoken until 1911. A Portuguese creole was still spoken in the early 20th century. Portuguese creoles were spoken in Bengal, such as at Calcutta, Dacca, Balasore, Pipli, Chandannagar, Chittagong, Firingi Bunder, Midnapore and Hugli-Chuchura.
