Amos K. HadleyAmos Kinne Hadley was an American lawyer and politician who served as a member and speaker of the New York State Assembly.Early life and educationHadley was born in Waterford, Vermont, the son of Stephen Hadley and Sarah Cushman Hadley. He graduated from Hamilton College. Then he studied law with Judge John P. Cushman in Troy, New York, and was admitted to the bar in 1843.CareerHadley served as a Whig member of the New York State Assembly in 1847 ; 1848 and 1849 ; and was Speaker in 1848 and 1849.DeathHe died at the residence of his daughter in Mount Vernon, New York. He was buried at the Claverack Cemetery in Claverack, New York.
