Amarin Nitibhon


Amarin Nitibhon is a Thai singer, actor, host, golfer, and race car driver.

Biography

Amarin Nitibhon was born on May 30, 1969 at Rajavithi Hospital at 12:55 AM, which is the origin of the name of his first album. The name Amarin comes from the name of Arun Amarin Road.
Amarin has three siblings: Ong-at Nitibhon, Amarin Nitibhon and Apasiri Nitibhon. Amarin's parents separated when Amarin was 8 years old. Amarin attended kindergarten at Sarinan Kindergarten School in Bang Khen area, then continued his secondary education at Srivikorn School. As a child, Amarin was quite naughty and graduated from high school half a semester behind his friends, which meant he missed the entrance exam. Amarin therefore decided to study law at Ramkhamhaeng University first. After that, he went on to study communication arts at Kasem Bundit University. However, after only one semester, he dropped out.
Amarin took his and his friends' demos to a record label but were rejected. Then Grammy recruited singers, so he applied and passed the camera test. At first, he became a DJ and host on the show Bang Bang Bangkok with Alisa Intusmith, until he had his first album.
He used to live together with Atchariya Angsuwansiri and has one daughter, Achiraya Nitibhon, who is currently a singer and actress as well.
In 2014, Amarin announced that he and Atchariya had registered their divorce after living together for 12 years, the reason was that their lifestyles were not compatible.
