Abhay Kumar Singh was born in Patna, Bihar, India. In the early 1990s, after completing his schooling in Patna, he moved to Russia to pursue higher education, where he studied medicine. After completing his studies, he continued to reside in the Kursk region. Political career
Singh entered Russian local politics as a candidate of United Russia, the country’s ruling political party. He was elected as a deputat to the legislative body in the Kursk region, a position broadly comparable to that of a Member of Legislative Assembly in India.He has since been re-elected, making him one of the Indian-born individuals to hold elected political office in Russia. His political journey from Bihar to Russian politics has been reported by multiple Indian national media outlets.
