Zaz and Mahru District

Zaz and Mahru District is in Aligudarz County, Lorestan province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Shulabad.

History

After the 2006 National Census, the village of Shulabad-e Sofla merged with several villages and wa elevated to city status as Shulabad.

Demographics

Population

At the time of the 2006 census, the district's population was 11,440 in 1,982 households. The following census in 2011 counted 11,188 people in 2,257 households. The 2016 census measured the population of the district as 9,584 inhabitants in 2,455 households.
