Zanthoxylum kauaense
Zanthoxylum kauaense, commonly known as ae or Kauai pricklyash, is a species of flowering plant in the family Rutaceae, that is endemic to Hawaii. It usually inhabits Hawaiian [tropical rainforests#Mixed mesic forests|mixed mesic forests] at elevations of, but can also be found in Hawaiian [tropical dry forests|dry] and wet forests. It is threatened by habitat loss.
