Zé Amaro


José Amaro, known mostly by his artistic name, Zé Amaro, is a Portuguese singer. He is known as the "Portuguese ''Cowboy" for associating his image with this character and also for his most famous song Cowboy Apaixonado''. The town of Ponte, in Guimarães, recognized him as a noble ambassador for his "work and support in socially relevant areas for the community, promoting the common good".

Career

Zé Amaro is the well-known “Portuguese Cowboy” with a country style, a pioneer in Portugal and known for his interpretation of romantic, traditional and more popular songs. Over the years, he has won over a vast legion of fans in Portugal and beyond.

To celebrate his 15th career anniversary, Zé Amaro gave concerts at the Coliseu do Porto and Lisboa.
