Yvon Le Roux


Yvon Le Roux is a French former professional footballer who played as a defender. He earned 28 international caps for the France national team during the mid-1980s and was part of the team at the 1986 FIFA World Cup and the team that won UEFA Euro 1984. Whilst at Olympique [de Marseille|Marseille] he helped them to the league and 1989 [Coupe de France Final|cup] double in 1989.

Early life

Le Roux was born on 19 April 1960 in Plouvorn, Finistère.

International career

Le Roux was a member of the France national team. In the UEFA Euro 1984 Final he was sent off, but his team still managed to beat Spain 2–0.
