Yaqob Beyene
Yaqob Beyene was an Ethiopian translator and academic.
Educated at the University of Naples "L'Orientale", he studied the Tigrinya language and translated the four-volume Maṣḥafa Mesṭir, originally written by Giyorgis of Segla.
Yaqob Beyene died in Capaccio Paestum on 8 May 2025, at the age of 89.
