Yan Keshi


Yan Keshi, is a Chinese politician from Fuzhou, Fujian. He currently serves on the Standing Committee of the China Association for Promoting Democracy. He is also Vice President of the Theoretical Research Society on Participating Political Parties, Chairman of the Fujian Provincial Committee of the CAPD, and Vice Chairman of the Fujian Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.

Biography

He is a member of the China Association for Promoting Democracy. He began his career in August 1984 and holds a doctorate in management, an on-the-job postgraduate degree, and the title of professor-level senior agricultural economist. He previously served as deputy director of the Fujian Provincial Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision and vice mayor of Fuzhou.
Starting in September 2009, Yan served as deputy director of the Fujian Provincial Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision and Vice Chairman of the Fujian Provincial Committee of the CAPD. In December 2011, he became vice mayor of Fuzhou and concurrently served as Chairman of the Fuzhou Municipal Committee of the CAPD. In June 2017, he was appointed Chairman of the Fujian Provincial Committee of the CAPD and continued to serve as Vice Mayor. In December 2017, he became a Standing Committee Member of the CAPD Central Committee and remained chairman of the provincial committee, while stepping down as Chairman of the Fuzhou Municipal Committee in June 2019 and as Vice Mayor in January 2021. In January 2021, he was appointed Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Fujian Provincial People's Congress. In January 2023, he was appointed Vice Chairman of the Fujian Provincial Committee of the CPPCC. In April 2023, he became Vice President of the Theoretical Research Society on Participating Political Parties under the 15th Central Committee of the CAPD.
