Where Are We? The Method of Mapping with GIS in Digital Humanities is a scholarly work, published in 2018 in ''American Quarterly''. The main subjects of the publication include data science, spatial analysis, digital cartography, software, cartography, digital humanities, World Wide Web, spatial data infrastructure, geographic information system, volunteered geographic information, geography, Filipino nationalism, and computer science. As such, I argue that digital humanities scholars in American studies are in a unique position to contribute to the growth and development of GIS and, in so doing, the growth of spatial thinking in and beyond the humanities.
