Warong Detkitvikrom
Warong Detkitvikrom is a Thai politician and former physician. He is currently the Leader of the Thai Pakdee Party. He was formerly a Member of Parliament representing Phitsanulok province under the Democrat Party, and a former Chief [Executive Officer] of the Action Coalition Party. He is also a leading figure of the Thai Pakdee Movement.
Career
Warong is a prominent critic of the Thai government's rice pledging scheme, launched under the premiership of Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra in 2011.In January 2025, he aligned with former Red Shirt leader Jatuporn Prompan to protest the role of former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra in guiding the premiership of his daughter Paetongthan Shinawatra, the current Prime Minister.
In March 2025, he advocated for the government to consider price controls on rice to ensure farmers received fair prices.
