According to Official Letter No. 2896/BNV-CQĐP dated May 27, 2025 of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Minh Phụng after reorganization has an area of 1.27 km², population as of December 31, 2024 is 90,808 people, population density reaches 71,502 people/km².
History
On June 16, 2025, the Standing Committee of the National Assembly issued Resolution No. 1685/NQ-UBTVQH15 on the rearrangement of commune-level administrative units of Ho Chi Minh City in 2025. Accordingly, the entire natural area and population size of former Wards 1, 7 and 16 of District 11 were rearranged into a new ward named Minh Phung Ward.
