Entremont has a population of. Most of the population speaks French as their first language, Portuguese is the second most common and German is the third. There are 122 people who speak Italian and 2 people who speak Romansh., the gender distribution of the population was 51.1% male and 48.9% female. The population was made up of 5,616 Swiss men and 1,493 non-Swiss men. There were 5,590 Swiss women and 1,208 non-Swiss women. Of the population in the district 7,166 or about 59.0% were born in Entremont and lived there in 2000. There were 1,721 or 14.2% who were born in the same canton, while 1,168 or 9.6% were born somewhere else in Switzerland, and 1,796 or 14.8% were born outside of Switzerland.

Politics
In the 2007 federal election the most popular party was the Christian [Democratic People's Party of Switzerland|CVP] which received 51.76% of the vote. The next three most popular parties were the FDP, the SVP and the SP. In the federal election, a total of 5,031 votes were cast, and the voter turnout was 56.1%.In the 2009 Conseil d'État/Staatsrat election a total of 4,659 votes were cast, of which 231 or about 5.0% were invalid. The voter participation was 53.2%, which is similar to the cantonal average of 54.67%. In the 2007 Swiss [Council of States election, 2007|Swiss Council of States election] a total of 4,931 votes were cast, of which 357 or about 7.2% were invalid. The voter participation was 56.4%, which is similar to the cantonal average of 59.88%.
