Chants et contes de Noël


Chants et contes de Noël is the fifth studio album and second Christmas album by Canadian singer Celine Dion. It was released in Quebec, Canada on 3 December 1983, through Saisons and distributed by Trans-Canada Disques. The album includes Christmas songs, children's stories, and "À quatre pas d'ici", a French version of Bucks Fizz's "The Land of Make Believe". Chants et contes de Noël reached number 17 on the chart in Quebec.

Background and conception

Released three months after Les chemins de ma maison, Chants et contes de Noël is an album dedicated to children and the magic of the holidays. The cover shows Dion surrounded by her nephews and nieces. On the album, Dion reads three children's stories and sings three classic Christmas songs. Two other tracks on the album are "Un enfant" by Jacques Brel and the pop song "À quatre pas d'ici", a French version of the British hit "The Land of Make Believe" by the band Bucks Fizz.
