USS Ted Stevens

USS Ted Stevens will be an Aegis guided missile destroyer of the United States Navy, the third of the Flight III variant. She will be named in honor of Ted Stevens, who served as a U.S. Senator for Alaska for over 40 years and was a staunch supporter of both the Navy and the Marine Corps.

Construction

The keel of Ted Stevens was laid in a ceremony at the Ingalls shipyards on 9 March 2022. She was launched on 15 August 2023 and christened four days later on the 19th.
