Tommy Tolleson
Thomas Anthony Tolleson was an American professional football wide receiver who played one season with the Atlanta Falcons of the National Football League. He was selected by the Falcons in the 15th round of the 1966 NFL draft after playing college football at the University of Alabama.
Early life and college
Thomas Anthony Tolleson was born on January 30, 1943, in Birmingham, Alabama. He attended Talladega High School in Talladega, Alabama.Tolleson was a member of the Alabama Crimson Tide of the University of Alabama from 1962 to 1965 and a three-year letterman from 1963 to 1965. He caught nine passes for 110 yards in 1963, 22 passes for 248 yards and two touchdowns in 1964, and 32 passes for 374 yards and two touchdowns in 1965. In 1964, he earned Associated Press second-team All-SEC honors and United Press International third-team All-SEC honors. Tolleson was named first-team All-SEC by the AP as a senior in 1965. The Crimson Tide were national champions in both 1964 and 1965.
