Tokologo Local Municipality
Tokologo Municipality is a Local [municipality (South Africa)|local municipality] within the Lejweleputswa District Municipality, in the Free State (South [African province)|Free State] province of South Africa. Tokologo is a Setswana word meaning "freedom".

Politics
The municipal council consists of eight members elected by mixed-member proportional representation. Four councillors are elected by first-past-the-post voting in four wards, while the remaining four are chosen from party lists so that the total number of party representatives is proportional to the number of votes received. In the 2021 [South African municipal elections|elections of 1 November 2021] the African National Congress won a majority of 8 seats on the council.The following table shows the results of the election.
