Tiruchanur
Tiruchanur is a suburb and outgrowth of Tirupati and is located in Tirupati district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is a part of Tirupati urban agglomeration. It is the mandal headquarters of Tirupati Rural mandal. It is a religious destination for Hindu pilgrims due to the presence of Padmavathi Temple. It falls in the jurisdictional limit of Tirupati Urban Development Authority.
Etymology
Based on evidence from thousands of inscriptions in and around Tirupati, This Place was originally called as Alarmelmangaipuram, later transformed to Alamelu Mangapuram.
