Tirtha Bahadur Lama


Tirtha Bahadur Lama is a Nepali politician of the Nepali Congress. He served as the Minister for Drinking Water, Energy, and Irrigation of Bagmati Province and is a member of the Bagmati Provincial Assembly. Lama was elected from Kavrepalanchowk 1, defeating CPN candidate Chandra Bahadur Lama by a margin of three votes. He also serves as the Kavrepalanchowk District Chairperson of the Nepali Congress, having been elected during the 2078 B.S. Kavrepalanchowk District Nepali Congress Convention.
Lama is also a former member of the 2nd Nepalese Constituent Assembly. He was elected from the Kavre–1 constituency in the 2013 Constituent Assembly election as a candidate of the Nepali Congress, defeating incumbent Constituent Assembly member Surya Man Dong Tamang of the Unified Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist).
