The Assessment of Civic Leadership is a scholarly work, published in 2000 in ''About Campus Enriching the Student Learning Experience''. The main subjects of the publication include public relations, public administration, pedagogy, political science, educational leadership, and sociology. This was the challenge that faced Ed Smith a few years ago when Longwood College in Virginia revised its mission to make preparation of citizen leaders a central goal.
