Teaching visual orientation discrimination through tactile learning
Teaching visual orientation discrimination through tactile learning is a scholarly work, published in 2018 in ''Journal of Vision''. The main subjects of the publication include contrast, perceptual learning, cognitive psychology, somatosensory system, artificial intelligence, orientation (vector space), psychology, perception, communication, tactile discrimination, and visual perception. The authors' previous double training studies demonstrate that perceptual learning can generalize to not only new locations and orientations (Xiao_et_al., 2008; Zhang_et_al., 2010), but also new physical stimuli encoded by different neural substrates (Wang_et_al., 2016).
