T. S. Willan


Thomas Stuart Willan, FBA was a British economic historian. From 1961 to 1973 he was the Professor of Economic History at the University of Manchester, where he had earlier been an assistant lecturer, lecturer, senior lecturer and reader. He was elected a fellow of the British Academy in 1991 and was the subject of a festschrift: W. H. Chaloner and B. M. Ratcliffe, Trade and Transport: Essays in Economic History in Honour of T. S. Willan.
